Plan the Perfect Christmas Vacation

Will go for the cristmas holidays is always fun whether you will see a family out of town, or you just want to go to a place you've never. The best way to make a memorable trip is to plan ahead. Here's how!

Reservations

If you fly to your destination, you get a plane ticket well in advance. You'll save lots of money and you will ensure that the dates and seats you want are available. You can do this by contacting your travel agent or you can do this online or by phone.

During the holiday, many people are traveling. Do not take the risk to your destination and do not have a place to live. I worked in a hotel for 6 years, and I'm always amazed at the number of people who do not place an order. They were very sad when they were told that the closest hotel rooms available in the next town.

Budget

Budgeting extra money for travel around the holidays is difficult because you still have to buy gifts. The key is to start early. Do your homework and find out what the trip will be charged. This needs to include airfare, hotel, gas, food and any shopping you might want to do. Additional plan your budget in case of damaged car or you can not go home on the day scheduled for the weather. You will be able to pay a mechanic or an extra night at the hotel. Once you know what you will be charged a trip, you can decide how much you'll need to save each month to be ready for it.

Plan problems

No one wants their vacation to have a problem. If you are planning ahead for them, it would not be so bad if it happened. If you're traveling by car, here are some things you should remember.
- Take your car to a mechanic before you travel.
- Do warm blankets and non-perishable, high energy foods like unsalted canned nuts, dried fruits, and hard candies
- Keep working flashlights and extra batteries, a compass, a first aid kit, and an ice scraper and snow brush available if falling snow.
- Always remember that if you find yourself stranded if the cold and snowy, stay in your car and wait for help to come.

If you are traveling by airplane, do not wrap gifts. Chances are that when you go through security, they need to know what is in the package. You do not want to have to wrap them again when you arrive at your destination. Shipping in the future they will probably be a better idea. Make sure you send them soon enough to get them there before Christmas. Check with your local post office for details.

Christmas can be a fun time for everyone. The smile on the kids' faces is priceless when they could see was out of town family members or where they had never happened before. When you decide to make your journey and plan ahead it can be wonderful and very pleasant. Enjoy!
